WHS FFA wraps up a great season at State!

The West FFA Best Informed Greenhand Team, or B.I.G for short. Had an amazingly successful competition season this year!

Greenhand is a term given to students who are freshmen within the FFA. These freshman students on the B.I.G Team competed at 5 different state qualifying contests up and down the state of California. This competition tests the students on their knowledge of the Local, State and National FFA Organization's structure and history. This is done in the form of a 200-question test.

The team placed 1st as a team at the UC Davis, Dinuba, Reedley College, Modesto Junior College and Fresno State Field Days! Several of the students placed as top individuals at these contests as well.

The season came to a close when they placed 3rd high as a team in the State

The team members consisted of Reutanak Phinith, Angie Macias, Victor Bernal, Luna Martinez, Katelyn Richards

  •  The Farm Business Management competition encourages students to better analyze farm records. Students had to complete a written test on record business management. Complete a Non-Current/Captial Depreciable Inventory sheet and completed another written test on tax management!
